Disposal options

Bring this material to the Northwest Vermont Solid Waste Management District in Georgia, VT, where it will be baled and hauled away for recycling. NWSWMD accepts tubing year-round. Please call ahead to make arrangements. Contact us at (802) 524-5986; [email protected].

Cost

  • $7 a cubic yard
  • Pickup truckload: $15
  • Loads contaminated with unacceptable materials will be charged a fee for landfill disposal.

The cost to recycle is about half the rate to send it to the landfill.

Limitations, regulations and other specifications

  • We take all high density polyethylene (HDPE) sap line.
    Not sure if you have HDPE? Put a small piece in a bucket. If it floats, it’s HDPE.
  • No PVC pipe. No drain/sewer/water service pipe. No Teflon-coated tubing.
  • NO METAL: tensile wire; wire ties; hose clamps
  • No leaves/dirt/rocks.
  • Loads contaminated with unacceptable materials will be charged a fee for landfill disposal.
  • Suggested preparation: please cut mainline tubing to 3’ lengths.
  • Dropline & tapline should be wrapped in coils less than 4’ in diameter
