Analysis of Alternative Organic Waste Management Systems
CSWD has recently begun the process of identifying and evaluating alternative management systems for the long-term management of organic wastes generated within Chittenden County. One of the first steps in this process is to select a Consultant experienced in the organic waste management field to identify and evaluate various potential alternative processes and systems with the goal of eventually developing a recommendation for a preferred system.

On May 1st, 2009, CSWD issued a Request for Qualifications seeking to identify the best qualified firms to undertake this work. Ten teams submitted Statements of Qualifications. A Selection Committee established by CSWD reviewed the Statements of Qualifications and developed a short-list of five teams to be invited to respond to a Request For Proposals. On September 3rd, a Request for Proposals was issued to the selected teams. Proposals are due November 30, 2009.
