Reporting deadline for business waste

If you operate a business that sends recyclables and other commodities (like food scraps, cardboard, pallet wrap, etc.) directly to processors, farms, or other end markets, we applaud your smart management practices. We also want to make sure you’re aware of the Commercial Materials Reporting Form that you need to complete twice a year.

The next reporting deadline is March 1, 2017, which covers the second half of 2016 (July – December).

The data we compile from all kinds of sources tell us how well we’re meeting our mission of reducing the size and toxicity of the waste stream.

Plus, it helps us identify and plan for new programs that make it easier and more convenient for our members to reduce, recycle, and compost. In short, the business materials reporting requirement helps us zero in on zeroing out wasted resources.

The online Commercial Materials Reporting Form makes it easy to provide the data we need to maximize the benefits for everyone.

Clare has lived in Tennessee, New Mexico, California, Virginia, Connecticut, Texas, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and, for the past 10 years, Vermont. She can be found peering into recycling bins everywhere to see what works and is frequently quizzed about recycling and composting in random places when people find out where she works. She spends as much time as possible playing ukulele and roaming through Vermont’s spectacular mountains and forests.
