Anyone who’s ever moved a full-size sofa into a pint-size apartment knows that dings, chips and scuffs are just gonna happen. Multiply that by raucous parties and college-town turnover and the paint bill starts taking a big bite out of that security deposit. Local Color to the rescue!
Chittenden Solid Waste District presents the most affordable, durable paint option yet! Not only does Local Color cost about half as much as new paint, it’s famous for its long-lasting thickness. It can be washed and scrubbed, and often covers in only one coat.
Local Color is CSWD’s 100% recycled latex paint. It is made from unwanted latex paint that is collected from local residents and businesses through CSWD’s Environmental Depot. The paint is carefully sorted, double-filtered and blended to a consistent, silky-smooth, low sheen finish.
In addition to durability and affordability, you’ll also get what we like to call “Feelgoodability.”
Nearly half the latex paint received gets recycled into Local Color Paint. The rest is recycled elsewhere or disposed of responsibly. Only the highest quality paint gets chosen to be recycled into Local Color.
In addition to durability and affordability, you’ll also get what we like to call “Feelgoodability.” By buying Local Color, you are not only giving your walls a fresh new look, you are also supporting the “local loop” – the responsible & sustainable management of our community resources, here at home in Chittenden County.
