Backyard Compost Workshop & Green Mountain Compost Tour

Celebrate the magic of Mother Earth with an engaging, hands-on Backyard Composting Workshop, complete with an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Organics Recycling Facility—home to Green Mountain Compost. Discover how your kitchen scraps and yard waste are transformed into nutrient-rich, eco-friendly compost that’s perfect for your garden and essential for building healthy soils. This interactive experience combines practical composting tips and troubleshooting with an up-close look at the composting process in action. Workshops and tours are offered once a month throughout September. Come for one and stay for both.  Space is limited, so register today. Workshop: 9:30-10:30 Tour: 10:45-11:30.
