Facility Fee Changes

Starting July 1, CSWD will implement a $1 facility fee per visit at all Drop‑Off Centers. We’re also updating Yard Waste pricing to now charge $1 per cubic yard (up to 2 cubic yards). These modest changes help cover routine maintenance, safety upgrades, and equipment needs so we can continue to keep our facilities clean, safe, and operating reliably. 

Key details:  

• Facility Fee: $1 per visit — starts July 1 

• Who: Applies to all CSWD Drop‑Off Centers. (Exceptions: NO facility fee for loads consisting only of bulbs, household batteries, covered e‑waste, mercury devices, PCB ballasts, and/or textiles.) 

• Why: To fund maintenance, safety improvements, signage, equipment replacement, and customer facing upgrades that directly benefit visitors 

• Yard Waste: $1 per cubic yard (up to 2 cubic yards); Milton, South Burlington, Essex and Hinesburg only.
