CSWD > How to Recycle in Chittenden County > Recycling bins & carts

You don’t need a bin from CSWD in order to recycle. You can use any container to collect recyclables at home; choose a bin or container that works for your needs and is convenient for your household.

Some private haulers provide their customers with recycling carts (large wheeled containers with lids) and some may deliver the 16-gallon bins to their residential customers.

Contact your hauler for cart availability and bin delivery options. Burlington residents should contact the Department of Public Works at (802) 863-9094; choose menu option #3.
